Welcome to our March Be Inspired Blog Hop were we are all sharing projects inspired by the theme ‘watercolour’. I absolutely love watercolouring so was very happy creating a card with this theme in mind. You may hopped on over from the lovely Carolynn – isn’t her projects just gorgeous!
I have taken inspiration from inside of the new Annual Catalogue which is coming out a the beginning of June, but as a demonstrator we have the benefit of getting out hands on this a little earlier.(Just 1 of SO many great reasons to join)
I have lightly stamped (stamping off onto scrap paper first) with Coastal Cabana the three butterflies onto watercolour paper, at the same time I have also lightly stamped half of the butterfly image onto the stitched rectangle. (This is also watercolour paper)
I have then used the aqua painter to lightly add a little of the Coastal Cabana ink into some of the sections and in other section I have also used Bermuda bay ink – You really only need a light touch of ink! You can always add more if you want to.
Once this is completely dry I have then stamped the circles from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set of the background of both pieces. The fine flicks of ink have been added by flicking the tip of the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write marker in the pen lid.
